When you get lemons...

MAKE LEMONADE!
I recently puchased some crayons for Zack and was disappointed to find that more than half of them were broken. Now, since I'm a terrible perfectionist. I just couldn't leave them be. But instead of must having the little crayon chunks float around my house for all eternity I decided to make these fun little gems. I just put the broken pieces into my lined mini cupcake pan and melted them. After they dried we had a collection of uper-fantastic multi-crayons. Zach loves them!

More For Sale!

The craft fair's aren't really attracting a lot of foot traffic these days so I'm back to Craigslist. Here's a few of my tutus as posted there. I'm selling them for $12 a piece or $15 with a matching wand. I love it! Ahhhhh.... to have a daughter...

I'm a DESIGNER!

So, a while back I signed up to do this May Day gift exchange. I have to be honest- I didn't even know what May Day was let alone WHEN... I just finished my gift today. OOOooops!!!!

I haven't ever met the girl I'm exchanging gifts with but I did learn that she was a cook so I determined that I would make her an apron but not just any apron. My own PERSONAL design!

I have a denim apron myself and love it but I wanted to try something new so I used the front of a pair of jeans for the bottom half and then added a portion of the leg to make the upper bib. This way you can have working pockets and fun belt loops to pull the tie through.
Since I'm not the most experienced seamstress I wasn't sure how to make the back look decent since it still had all of the pocket stuff. So I used some fusible interfacing and scraps and Wa La!
Now it's a reversable apron to boot. Though I wish I could have made it one solid piece I still like the way it turned out.
To add some flare I made these cute flowers that I found HERE on Tip Junkie. They were so easy! I might start adding them to more of my projects.
Needless to say- I'm pretty excited about sending out my package. I just hope the likes it enough to make up for my being VERY VERY late.

SOLD!!

I've bragged about things I've gotten on Craigslist and tutus I've sold but now thanks to Craigslist I'm a little bit less cluttered-- and $15 richer. Wahoo!
